2008 Hour Art Marathon: Already hammin' it up

Hello,
We hope everybody is ready and well rested for this years Marathon, for it is promising to be our biggest one yet. This year we are planning a whole festival of events leading up to the Art Marathon on August 16th. We'll have all the details on the festival up real soon once everything is confirmed and ready.

First of though, we figured we would introduce ourselves. Amanda Power and Jonathan Green. We are the new 24 Hour Art Marathon Coordinators this year, joining the ranks of a long line of coordinators. We'll talk in the third person for a moment here, and tell you about ourselves.

Jonathan is a recent graduate of Sir Wilfred Grenfell College Visual Arts program, graduating with a B.FA in Visual Arts. His interests include reading, sandwiches, watching fighting, dystopian and apocalyptic elements, drawing, painting, printmaking, and an increased interest in thanatology.

Amanda is going to her third year in the Visual Arts program at Sir Wilfred Grenfell College. She is very happy to be living in St. Johns this summer.

So we'll be your 24 Hour Art Marathon coordinators for this summer, and will be at the Eastern Edge Gallery Monday to Friday, 10am to 5pm to answer all your questions, sprout information out, and generally working to make this marathon a great success. Feel free to see us anytime, or email us at easternedgegallery@gmail.com if you have anything you want to talk about.

Have a great day!

Amanda and Jonathan
